Situated on west coast of India Pipavav Port of India is expected to go non-operational till 1st June due to cyclone Tauktae. The APM terminals stated that the port infrastructure appears to be unimpaired and there has been no loss of life recorded. As per the operators on the port it is noted that the non-availability of power caused due to the disruption created by the cyclone has resulted to stop operations on the port.
It is assumed that the port will restore transmission lines by the end of May and the operations will resume by 1st June. The APM terminals have stated that until the port begins with its operations it is advised that all EXIM, domestic, coastal, rail and road operations will be stagnant until further notice. It is advised that one needs to make an alternate arrangement for the vessels and cargoes.
