MSC omits calls to Los Angeles from its Santana service

Even as congestion continues at the Port of Los Angeles, MSC has decided to temporarily omit Los Angeles from its Santana service, in order to maintain smooth and reliable service performance.

Currently, the port of Tacoma has turned out to be the most fluid of all US west coast ports as it offers great rail connections into the Midwest destinations with much faster cargo delivery compared to other gateways. It is is also considered to be a better alternative to Seattle when it comes to local Pacific Northwest cargo.

The first eastbound and westbound omissions of Los Angeles are as follows:

Week 17 Eastbound Port Rotation: Yantian – Shanghai – Tacoma – Yantian

Week 20 Westbound Port Rotation: Yantian – Shanghai – Tacoma – Yantian
