Maersk updates Far East Asia to Europe Services Schedules

Taking note of the schedule reliability considerations, Maersk has announced measures to improve schedule reliability in its Far East Asia to Europe network. The measures are in response to the recent, severe port congestion and equipment shortages across global supply chains, which is directly a result of the global pandemic and the measures taken to stop its spread globally combined with a sudden increase in demand.

Maersk is also restructuring its Transpacific AE1 & AE6 pendulum services to facilitate leaner rotations and reduced exposure to port delays. In addition, Maersk will have a missed sailing in order to free up vessel MSC Alexandria, for schedule recovery measures on the AE1 service. In order to minimize the impact to their customers, securing alternative routings as per below and introducing additional measures (TBA) are being undertaken by Maersk.
