Interasia Lines will be introducing a new Asia to Pakistan mid-haul service loop to be named “Pakistan – Mundra Express Service” (“ PMX ”) by contributing one vessel jointly with the service consortium – Ocean Alliance – comprising Cosco Shipping, Wan Hai Lines, Evergreen Line, and O.N.E.
Interasia Lines’ participation on the PMX full service coverage shall commence in early January 2020, with port rotations calling on the main ports in China, Pakistan and India as follows: Shanghai – Ningbo – Fuzhou (Jiangyin) – Shekou – Singapore – Port Klang – Colombo – Karachi – Mundra – Port Klang – Singapore – Shanghai
This PMX loop will mark another major milestone for Interasia Lines by extending its existing westbound service network to Pakistan with joint vessel weekly schedule in Karachi.
By including Mundra on the East-bound leg in the same service loop, Interasia Lines would also re-affirm its market presence there and further consolidate its coverage in the India market. Interasia’s existing services are covering the main ports of India at Nhava Sheva and Pipavav on the west coast and Chennai, Kattupalli, Visakhapatnam on the east coast.
By connecting India and Pakistan to main destinations in Asia within its intensive Intra-Asia service networks, PMX service schedule will therefore strengthen Interasia Lines’ offerings of more reliable service options, and to better serve shippers’ and consignees’ diverse needs for both East-West trade directions.
