Hapag Lloyd drops Tuxpan Call from Atlantic Loop 4 (AL4)

Despite the best efforts to promote Tuxpan as an alternative to their existing strong coverage in Mexico, Hapag-Lloyd experienced a very low acceptance by the market. Volumes had been far behind expectations making it unsustainable to continue serving this port. In lieu of this, they have decided to drop their private Hapag-Lloyd Tuxpan port call from the AL4 service.

They will continue handling customer cargoes via their alternative ports of Veracruz or Altamira.

The last sailing to TUX will be:

  • MV Genoa 015W, ETS Le Havre December 26, 2019
  • ETA Tuxpan January 10, 2020
