CNC Introduces New China- Vietnam-Cambodia (CVC) Service

CNC has announced the launch of a new China-Vietnam-Cambodia (CVC) service. CNC is a brand of APL, the sole Intra Asia short sea carrier of the CMA CGM Group, a world leader in shipping and logistics.

CVC will be CNC’s first direct service from Central and South China to Danang and Sihanoukville, strategically connecting China and the emerging economies of Vietnam and Cambodia.

A vital gateway, the Vietnamese port of Danang handles the highest cargo traffic in Central Vietnam and the city is developing rapidly as a high-tech industries hub. The Sihanoukville seaport in southwest Cambodia is the country’s only deep-water port, and is ideally located along regional and global trade routes.

Set to facilitate further market access between Cambodia and her neighbouring economies, CVC will serve as an alternative Cambodia-Vietnam sea route. Shipments to and from Sihanoukville will be connected to CNC’s and the CMA CGM Group’s extensive intraregional and global networks via Ho Chi Minh. Importantly, CVC will also serve as an alternative shipping choice for cargo heading for Shanghai and Ningbo from Ho Chi Minh.

CVC will depart Shanghai for its maiden service on 18 April.
